The vegetarian food at Hungarian restaurants that don’t specifically focus on it varies a lot. At the ones that do focus on it, it also does, but with a much higher lower bound. (Makes sense—a vegetarian restaurant with bad vegetarian food would go out of business immediately; an omnivores’ restaurant with bad vegetarian food didn’t have as big a market for it to begin with, and can still sell some to vegetarian members of omnivorous groups eating there.)

The places I go to most often are Hummus Bar ($3-$6 for a meal), Hummus Point ($4-$5), Napfényes Étterem ($6-12), and the Bio-ABC cafe ($4).

(I seem to have not hit “publish” on 02/17; oops.)
