My combinatorics class at CEU had its final today, with five problems: four and a half easy, and one of the form “Why would it be hard to do this?” I think I know an answer that’d’ve sufficed, but been nonrigorous; I went by the higher standard of doing basically the whole thing, to the point where I could facetiously say that “we can’t write a similar equation because when we write the equation, as I’ve just done, it’s messy.”
