The theme of this month’s Fulbright sightseeing trip was the statues of Buda castle, but by far the most exciting thing I saw was snow—the winter’s first! It’s barely even visible on the ground, but it’s there:

Of course, some of the architecture and such was pretty too.

Then we saw the Hungarian National Library, a library to rival Firestone: 2 wings, each with 22 floors, each roughly square, with this view down the main isle. (Of course, unlike Firestone, it’s not browsable.)
