Budapest proper has three intercity train stations, plus at least one more on its outskirts. On the way back from Veszprém, my train, which I thought would go to one of the former, stopped at the latter for a reason the announcement system said too quickly for me to follow. Fortunately, besides trains, Budapest has a subway system, trams, and busses, any one of which would be an excellent transit system by most similar-sized American cities’ standards, so I left the train station, got on the first bus I saw, and actually made it back home earlier than if the train had gone all the way.

Also, I’m finally caught up from the 24 hour puzzle competition.
