Went to Veszprém for another study abroad fair. Much less diversity of interests than at the last one: most people wanted to study tourism or business. Depending on whether people were waiting behind them, I either gave a mini liberal arts spiel or handed them brochures and told them that Princeton’s happy with people with many interests, but that if they stay set on {tourism, business}, they should look at Rutgers, which had a booth nearby. The only unusual query was from someone finishing a master’s in German who wanted to switch to East Asian studies, for whom I had a hopefully inspiring story about someone (from my high school!) who’d done a classics bachelor’s and gone to Princeton for mechanical engineering.
