I spent two hours today advertising for Princeton at a study abroad fair. Quite a range of people: I think I pointed out about two thirds of Princeton’s majors once, and none twice. (Math was, fortunately, in that two thirds, for a girl who asked, with classic hedging (“I know this is a silly question, but…”) about girls in math at Princeton, and seemed relieved to hear about Princeton’s programs to help women in mathematics, and fight the pressures of being in a male-dominated field. A point for gender equality; yay.)

Other than eager undergrads and mostly eager grad students, there were also a few representatives of college-admissions-help agencies, who mostly just took a copy of the brochures and such and left.
