Being affiliated with Alfréd Rényi Math Institute lets me take classes for free at Central European University. For the classes that overlap with BSM ones (only a small fraction of the BSM courses, but one or two that I’m interested in), this is certainly a good deal, so today I started taking a combinatorics class from Ervin Győri.

Taking three classes, teaching one, and trying to start a Hungarian linguistics olympiad is probably (or, from 11/28 when I’m actually posting this, certainly) going to leave me with not much time for research. My Fulbright tuition stipend only covers this semester, though, so I’ll take fewer classes and have more time for research next semester.
