Today was the first day of Budapest Semesters in Mathematics, where I’m planning to take a class or two. It’s unfortunately much farther than Alfréd Rényi, outside walking distance, so I finally got a monthly transit pass.

There was an orientation (boring, but necessary), one of the advanced combinatorics classes (I’d seen it all before—I’ll have to keep looking), a welcome party, and a few hours of time between class and the welcome party where I found two Mathcampers and taught two people (intersection: one) to play Set Mao! 🙂
