I can get by in occasional short conversations without resorting to English or pointing now. Yay!

Hungarian has several words that can mean either “hi” or “bye,” among them “szia” and “helló.” Accordingly, it’s quite possible to greet someone with “See ya” and bid them farewell with “Hello,” which I’ll probably do regularly just for the novelty. (Alternately, if you’re a tourist, you can get by with “Hello” and “See ya” in the other order.)
